Young Dolph Fan Memorial Planned At 19,000-Seat FedEXForum
Memphis, TN – A private funeral for Young Dolph was held on Tuesday (November 30), a somber day for Memphis and all those who loved him.
While it was closed to the public, community activist Pastor Earle Fisher — who spoke at the funeral — recently revealed a public ceremony for Dolph will be held at FedExForum on December 16. Located in downtown Memphis, the venue holds approximately 19,000 people.

Young Dolph was gunned down in broad daylight on November 17 as he was picking up goodies from Makeda’s Homemade Cookies. While the alleged getaway car has reportedly been discovered, there’ve been zero arrests, which Fisher says is concerning.
“With all of the pomp and circumstance that elected officials and civic leaders have put around this heinous murder, we could do something to bring the people who have been involved in this to accountability and justice a whole lot sooner,” Fisher said. “The reality is there is a body being buried just about every day in Shelby County, and often we have people who are in powerful positions that have created policies that make these bodies pile up.”
Young Dolph’s casket was transported to Calvary Cemetery after the First Baptist Church Broad Avenue service, while fans have been gathering outside of Makeda’s since the shooting to pay their respects. Fans have left flowers, balloons and candles at the site as they mourn the late rapper.
The Paper Route Empire CEO was only 36 when he was killed. A day after the murder, Memphis Police released surveillance photos of two men believed to be responsible for the murder, but they are still on the run.
