Lil Yachty Says Drake’s Megan Thee Stallion Bars Are Actually About Women With BBLs
During an IG Live session on Friday night (November 4), Yachty addressed the controversial line on “Circo Loco” in which Drake seemed to refer to Meg’s 2020 shooting, for which Tory Lanez is currently awaiting trial.
“I’mma clear this line up cuz I know Drake’s not gonna do it,” Lil Yachty said during the live. “Had nothing to do with Megan. It’s just about women lying about their butt being real when it’s not. And like “stallion” as in ‘she’s still fine.’ Like a stallion! That was it.”
He went on to repeat the clarification after fans commented that his stream wasn’t coming through clearly.
The “Circo Loco” lines made waves almost immediately after Her Loss, Drake highly anticipated collaborative album with 21 Savage, arrived overnight on Thursday (November 3).
“This bitch lie about getting shots, but she still she a stallion/ She don’t even get the joke, but she still smiling,” Drizzy raps on the song, which samples Daft Punk’s “One More Time.”
Some fans believe Drake threw more shade at Megan later in the song when he raps: “Shorty say she graduated, she ain’t learn enough/ Play your album, track onе, ‘kay, I heard enough.”
Shortly after Her Loss’ midnight release, Megan Thee Stallion fired off several tweets in response to Drake’s lyrics. The Houston native initially dismissed the idea that the “shots” line was aimed at her, urging listeners to “stop attaching weak ass conspiracy theories in bars to my name.”
Without naming names, Megan then slammed Drake and his rap peers for using her shooting — which she has previously described as “scary” — as fuel for jokes and clout.
“Stop using my shooting for clout bitch ass N-ggas! Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot !” she snapped. “You n-ggas especially RAP N-GGAS ARE LAME! Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her.”
Megan Thee Stallion wasn’t the only person Drake took aim at on this latest project, which he announced just last month on 21 Savage’s birthday.
Ice Spice, DRAM, Kanye West, and even Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian all found themselves in Drake’s crosshairs, with the drama surrounding those perceived disses dominating the online conversation about Her Loss on Friday.
The slick play on words on “BackOutsideBoyz,” on which Drake appears to reference a time when DRAM caught a beat down from his security in 2015, prompted the “Cha Cha” singer to post a video setting the record straight.
“Aye somebody tell Drake to shut the fuck up about that shit, man,” DRAM said. “Fucking five years ago. This n-gga never touched me n-gga. I pressed his ass. His fucking bodyguards, God damn, I ain’t gonna hold you, his bodyguards went to town on the kid, but his bodyguards did it, not his bitch ass. He ain’t touch me. He’s a bitch, you know that.”
While Drake has not directly addressed any of the controversy surrounding his most recent release, he appeared to troll the commentators in his IG Stories with a photo of himself staring into the camera while holding his phone on a private jet.
