Nicki Minaj Throws 2nd Birthday Party For Son Papa Bear

Nicki Minaj has thrown a massive birthday party for her son Papa Bear, pulling out all the stops to make sure her baby fully enjoyed himself.

The Pinkprint rapper took to Instagram to showcase the heavily-detailed Minions party she set up for her son, who turned 2 on September 30.

“Next. Level. So grateful to Edgar & his team,” Nicki wrote, showcasing the sprawling set up. “B4 I post pics wanted to show you guys the overall world. So beautiful. Ice cream machine, cotton candy machine, smoothie machine, pop corn, magic mocktail bar, bouncy house & slide, slime station, Lego hat making station, coloring station, face painting, etc. etc. #PapaBearTurns2.”

In a separate IG shout-out, Nicki posed with her son and husband Kenneth Petty in front of a massive inflatable Minion for a heartfelt post to commemorate the day.

“On 9/30/22 you turned 2. #PapaBear, your Dad & I love you so much,” she wrote. “You make us so happy. You’re perfect. Thank you for giving mama new meaning to life. God cover you. Always.”

In another post, Nicki shared a few fun moments from the party itself, including a massive Minions cake filled with sparklers and a smoke bubble machine that Papa Bear was thoroughly enjoying. The singer Cassie and her family also stopped by.

“@cassie @alexfine44 it was such a pleasure to have you guys. Full circle moment. From rapping about Cassie to having kids the same age. I love you guys so much.”

Nicki Minaj has taken her parenting duties incredibly seriously since giving birth to her first son in 2020 and told Jada Pinkett Smith in an interview with Interview Magazine that her commitment to being a good parent is partially due to a fear that she might pass down her own childhood trauma.

“I love my son so much that I don’t know if it’s normal, but it seems unhealthy because I took too long to start working and leaving him to be watched by anyone, so now I have this real bad separation anxiety. So that’s not good.”

She continued: “When I was 2 years old, my parents left me in Trinidad. Of course, I was very attached to my mother, and in my little toddler mind, I thought I was going to see her the next day. And she was gone for two years, so that’s a big part in my development.

“So I’m reliving all of those things now because I’m afraid that my son will ever feel that I left him for anything, for any reason, and for any amount of time.”

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj has also hinted that her new album will arrive before the end of 2022.

“I wasn’t sure how I was even feeling about having to put out an album this year, but that song happening and people liking it, that made me happy,” Nicki told Interview Magazine, referring to her chart-topping, record-breaking single “Super Freaky Girl.” “People have gone through so much recently that they want to have fun. It’ll probably expedite the album to come out this year.”
