Britney Spears Under Investigation for Battery After Alleged Fight With Staffer
The alleged incident is classified as a “very minor misdemeanor” by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office; Spears’ attorney denies the staffer’s accusation.
Britney Spears is currently under investigation for battery following an alleged physical dispute with one of her staffers in her California home.
Page Six first reported that on Monday, the 39-year-old pop superstar allegedly swiped a cell phone from one of her employees.
Captain Eric Buschow of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office issued the following statement to Billboard on Thursday (Aug. 19): “On Monday, at about 10:25 in the morning, there was a dispute between Ms. Spears and one of her staff members that occurred at Ms Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks. The staff member alleges that during that dispute, Ms. Spears battered her. Deputies conducted an investigation … and ultimately their reports will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration of filing misdemeanor battery charges against Ms. Spears.”
